West Chester Hospital is offering free prostate screenings for men age 50 and older on Saturday, February 25, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
A prostate exam – involving a simple digital rectal exam and a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test – can detect the early warning signs of cancer. The ACS recommends that men should have an annual prostate exam beginning at age 50 unless they fall into a higher risk group.
Reservations for the free prostate screenings are required and space is limited. Men interested in receiving their free prostate screening test should call (513) 298-FAST (3278) by Thursday, February 23, to make an appointment. A physician order is not required for this exam.
Sounds of Motown
Saturday, March 3, 2011, 7 – 11 p.m. – West Chester Hospital will host an event to raise funds for equipment for our cardiovascular department, which will help patients with congestive heart failure. Click here to learn more.
