The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is located on the second floor of West Chester Hospital, in the Surgical Services area. Inpatients may be brought to this area for close monitoring after an operation. Specially-trained nurses will care for patients as they come out of anesthesia to be sure that they are recovering properly. Once it is determined that the patient is stable, they are moved to their private room to rest and recuperate.
