Radiology
West Chester Hospital has X-ray units in both the Imaging Department and in the Emergency Department, in order to provide immediate X-ray services to emergency patients. An X-ray is a noninvasive medical test that exposes a part of the body to a small dose of radiation to produce pictures of any bone in the body, including the hand, wrist, arm, foot, ankle, knee, leg or spine. X-rays are most often used to look for broken or fractured bones, but can also help detect dislocated joints, arthritis, infections, or bone cancer.
